California Wildfire

California Wildfire was a series of digital paintings based on various photo references of the common wildfires that regularly affect California. California is often seen as possessing a paradisiacal climate, and I wanted to show that quality persists even in the face of a cataclysmic natural disaster, that faced with overwhelming destruction there is still a sublime beauty to be found.
